Petrol price hiked by 6 paisa per litre today
Petrol prices on Thursday stood at Rs 71.57 per litre in New Delhi, Rs 74.32 per litre in Kolkata, Rs 79.45 per litre in Mumbai and Rs 74.21 per litre in Chennai.
Petrol prices in India on Thursday were hiked by 6 paisa per litre each in metro cities, as per data given by Indian Oil Corp (IOCL).
The data showed that petrol prices on Thursday, stood at Rs 71.57 per litre in New Delhi, Rs 74.32 per litre in Kolkata, Rs 79.45 per litre in Mumbai and Rs 74.21 per litre in Chennai.
Petrol price on February 28, was at Rs 71.51 per litre in New Delhi, Rs 74.26 per litre in Kolkata, Rs 79.45 per litre in Mumbai and Rs 74.15 per litre in Chennai.
Meanwhile, oil prices were little changed on Thursday after falling in the previous two sessions as investors shied away from riskier assets amid volatile equity markets and the US dollar gained, limiting overall interest in commodities, said a Reuters report.
US West Texas Intermediate crude for April delivery was up 8 cents at $61.72 a barrel by 0403 GMT after settling down 2.2% in the previous session.
Brent crude for May delivery, the new front-month contract, was down 3 cents at $64.70. Both benchmark contracts fell nearly 5% in February, the first monthly decline in six months.
