Fuel Price Today: Petrol, Diesel prices remained to stagnate today, March 16. The price remained steady for about nine months. Oil marketing companies revised petrol and diesel prices at 6 AM daily. 
 
The last change in country-wide fluctuation in fuel prices was witnessed in May 2022 when the Centre cut the excise duty on petrol by Rs 8 per litre and Rs 6 per litre on diesel. 

Retail petrol and diesel prices vary depending from state to state and various factors like freight charges, local taxes and Value-Added Tax (VAT). 

The retail price for petrol and diesel in New Delhi is Rs 96.72 and Rs 89.62 per litre, respectively. 

The current cost of petrol and diesel in Mumbai is Rs 106.31 and Rs 94.27 a litre, respectively. 

People in Chennai have to pay Rs 102.63 and Rs 94.24 a litre for petrol and diesel, respectively. In Kolkata, the price of petrol is Rs 106.03 and that of diesel is Rs 92.76 a litre. In Noida, the price for diesel is Rs 89.96 and Rs 96.79 for Petrol.
