Now, centrally sponsored schemes to be monitored by GM, MD, of banks, insurers

With a year to go for the general elections to roll around again, the incumbent government has planned to showcase some real work on the ground. And for this purpose, the central government has decided to examine the ground reality of the centrally sponsored schemes in 115 districts of the country, which were selected for rapid transformation.
Notably, the data on the success of the schemes in these backward districts will be collected by the senior officials from the central government, banks and insurance companies. Senior officials who will be surveying the success of these schemes in these districts, which came in focus under Aspirational Districts programme, includes senior government officials in the rank of the additional secretary and joint secretary along with general managers, executive directors and managing directors of the public bank and insurance companies. They will provide the feedback on the implementation of schemes to the central government.

Each officer will be responsible for only one district. In addition, these officers will be responsible for training the district administration officials about the ways of implementing the schemes.
