District Magistrate of Gautam Buddha Nagar, Medha Roopam, on Tuesday announced a series of worker welfare measures, including wage reforms, stricter compliance rules, and strengthened grievance systems, following recent unrest linked to labour demands in Noida.
Addressing the media, she said the government has accepted the primary demand of wage revision and expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister and the high-level committee for taking decisions aimed at improving workers’ conditions. She also reiterated that several administrative directives have now been issued to ensure the timely and transparent implementation of labour welfare measures.

FIRs have been registered against two X (formerly Twitter) accounts for circulating baseless rumours. The police further identified more than 50 recently created bot accounts suspected of being part of a coordinated misinformation campaign related to the workers’ agitation.
In this regard, traffic management had been carried out in those areas, whereby route diversion was introduced in order to ensure convenience for the public and reduce any inconvenience caused. Citizens had been advised against travelling to those areas unless absolutely necessary, while authorities worked to maintain normalcy, according to the Uttar Pradesh Police.
