Mahua Election Results 2025: Lalu Yadav's 'baaghi' son, Tej Pratap Yadav, lost his Mahua constituency by a margin of 51,938 votes in the Bihar Assembly Election 2025.
The final results, according to the ECI data, showed LJP(RV)'s Sanjay Kumar Singh as the winner of the Mahua constituency with 87,641 votes in total after the counting of votes for the Bihar elections was completed. The RJD's Mukesh Kumar Roshan is in second place with over 42,000 votes.
Meanwhile, Tejashwi Yadav, Tej Pratap's younger brother and Mahagathbandhan's Chief Ministerial face, has won in the Lalu family's stronghold, Raghopur Assembly constituency, with over 14,000 vote margin, according to the Election Commission of India's (ECI) data.
This year, after being expelled from RJD, Tej Pratap Yadav, the son of the RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, has established a party named Janshakti Janata Dal. In 2015, Tej Pratap was the MLA for Mahua, and in 2020, it was RJD's Mukesh Kumar Raushan who occupied the seat.
According to the final results of the Bihar Elections 2025, the ruling NDA has made a resounding win in the Bihar Assembly elections, with the alliance already, according to the trends, surpassing the 200-seat mark.
The final results show that the NDA has won 203 seats, while the Mahagathbandhan stood at 40.
The voters' participation in the election was over 70 crore, who went to cast their votes, deciding the fate of the two ruling NDA and the Mahagathbandhan. The voting took place in two phases, on November 6 and November 11.
The present Assembly has a composition of 131 seats occupied by the NDA, which includes BJP's 80 seats, JD(U)'s 45, four of HAM(S) and two Independents. The Opposition bloc has 111 seats, with the RJD holding 77, Congress 19, CPI(ML) 11, CPI(M) two and CPI two.
