Jet Airways Crisis: Vijay Mallya express sympathy for Naresh Goyal, Neeta Goyal
Vijay Mallya expressed sympathy for Naresh Goyal and Neeta Goyal — owners of the Jet Airways — questioning 'so many airlines have bitten the dust in India. Why?"
After the news break of Jet Airways to go grounded temporarily from April 17th mid-night, the aviation sector of India has been buzzing with speculations, suggestions and sympathy to the debt-hit aviation company and its owners Naresh Goyal and Neeta Goyal. However, it was Vijay Mallya, who surprised the most. In his series of tweets, the fugitive liquor barron expressed sympathy for the owners of the Jet Airways questioning 'why so many airlines have bitten the dust in India. Why?"
See Vijay Mallya tweet below:
Even though we were fierce competitors, my sympathies go out to Naresh and Neeta Goyal who built Jet Airways that India should be extremely proud of. Fine Airline providing vital connectivity and class service. Sad that so many Airlines have bitten the dust in India. Why ?

Vijay Mallya tweeted, "Even though we were fierce competitors, my sympathies go out to Naresh and Neeta Goyal who built Jet Airways that India should be extremely proud of. Fine Airline providing vital connectivity and class service. Sad that so many Airlines have bitten the dust in India. Why?" In another tweet, Vijay Mallya wrote, "Even though Jet was a major competitor to Kingfisher at the time I feel sorry to see such a large private airline on the brink of failure when Government used 35K crores of public funds to bail out Air India. Just being a PSU is no excuse for discrimination."

Talking about the airline karma Vijay Mallya also questioned the banking system tweeting, "I invested hugely into Kingfisher which rapidly grew to become India’s largest and most awarded airline. True, Kingfisher borrowed from PSU Banks as well. I have offered to pay back 100 percent but am being criminally charged instead. Airline Karma?"
So, in short, his tweets were more to express his alibi towards his bank defaults than to express his solidarity with the Goyal family in this time of crisis.
