In accordance with the IPL norms, 50 per cent of the prize money will go to the franchise with the rest being distributed among the players. The clock is ticking as Mumbai Indian skipper Rohit Sharma and CSK captain MS Dhoni prepare to face each other for the title.

There is also an Emerging Player Award, which will be given to players born after April 1, 1993, and played 25 or less IPL matches.
