Indian Railways to flag off Seva Service trains to connect small towns with major cities
In an effort to improve the connectivity of smaller towns with major cities, Indian Railways will flag off Seva Service trains today.
In an effort to improve the connectivity of smaller towns with major cities, Indian Railways will flag off Seva Service trains today. Railways will run trains in Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Odisha, Assam and Uttar Pradesh. In Gujarat, trains will run on Vadnagar-Mahesana and Asarva-Himmatnagar routes. In Tamil Nadu, there will be new trains to connect Karur and Salem, and Coimbatore and Pollachi. Yshvantpur and Tumkur will also be connected in Karnataka.
In Assam, Murkongselek in Dhemaji district will be connected with Dibrugarh. There will also be connecting train between Delhi and Shamli in Uttar Pradesh. In Odisha, Nayagarh and Bhubaneswar connecting trains will also be introduced. There will be Palani and Coimbatore connecting train in Tamil Nadu.

Indian Railways has taken this initiative to ensure better rail connectivity between smaller towns and major cities in these regions. Once these trains will make it easier to travel between these places. In recent years, the national transporter has taken various steps to improve its services. In order to improve passengers' travel experience, Railways has replaced traditional toilets with bio-toilet, installed WiFi services, and improved coaches.
Railways also recently started operations of high-speed trains such as Tejas Express and Vande Bharat Express.
