Indian Railways gift to passengers: New Delhi-Amritsar Shatabdi Express gets LHB coaches
The Indian Railways has been replacing old ICF style coaches with the modern LHB coaches.
Indian Railways has announced to run the New Delhi-Amritsar Shatabdi Express with Linke Hofmann Busch (LHB) coaches for about two months. The railways said in a notification dated April 10 that the Shatabdi express connecting Delhi and Amritsar will operate with LHB set of coaches for the next two months. New Delhi-Amritsar Shatabdi Express number 12031 and 12032 is a weekly express and runs on every Thursday.
While the Indian Railways has been replacing old ICF style coaches with the modern LHB coaches, the New Delhi-Amritsar Shatabdi Express is being fitted with LHB coaches due to the scarcity of conventional coaches with the Northern Railway.
