But what happens, when the website you think will help you deliver your LPG cylinder at home, happens to rob you of your money? This is because that is a fake website and is a look alike of the original one. Interestingly, it is Indian Oil who is warning its customers currently about a fake LPG website.
On its website, Indian Oil says, “Be aware of the following fake website which is posing as a legitimate site of Indian Oil Corporation Limited and inviting unsuspecting public at large to apply for LPG distributorship.” According to IOCL, the look and feel of this fake website is similar to theirs. Hence, it is important to remain watchful and not order any LPG related services from that website.
The name of this fake website is indanelpg.com. Indian Oil says, this one is with an aim to deceive and cause monetary loss.
What will happen is if you order LPG connection from this fake website, then you will make online payment and that’s how they will take away your money without any actual delivery. Not only this, the fake website can also have access to your identity proofs and also financial credentials.
Thereby, Indian Oil says, “The members of public are, therefore, advised to visit official website of Indian Oil Corporation Limited for authentic and official information and prevent themselves from being cheated by the unscrupulous elements. http://indanelpg.com (Fake Site).”

At Indian oil, new LPG Connections are now available on demand across the country. In case you do not have an LPG connection from any of the PSU Oil Companies in your household and you have a separate cooking area in your house you can have an Indane domestic connection in your household. For a domestic connection, you can visit nearest Indane distributor serving in your area and register for the connection with a valid proof of identity and residence.
On registration, the distributor will send you an intimation letter through registered post. You need to carry the letter and the envelope to the distributor to avail the connection.
For March 2019, LPG cylinder price has been hiked massively, especially in the non-subsidised category. A subsidised LPG cylinder in 14.2kg is priced at Rs 495.61 in Delhi, Rs 498.75 in Kolkata, Rs 493.32 in Mumbai and Rs 483.49 in Chennai. The price for this month, have been increased in the range of Rs 2.08 to Rs 2.18.
On the other hand, A 14.2kg cylinder in non-subsidised category is now priced at Rs 701.50 in Delhi, Rs 727.50 in Kolkata, Rs 673.50 in Mumbai and Rs 717 in Chennai. With this, in Delhi the price has risen by Rs 42.5, in Mumbai by Rs 43.5, in Chennai by Rs 44 and Kolkata by Rs 44.5 compared to previous month.
