The Fact Check Unit of the Press Information Bureau (PIB) debunked yet another fake claim, stating the temporary closure of services on Delhi-Mumbai airline route.
In a post on X, the Fact Check Unit said that this claim is "FAKE".

According to the Ministry of Civil Aviation, there has been a temporary suspension of civil flight operations at select airports and air routes.
The Airports Authority of India has announced the temporary closure of 32 airports in northern and western India for civil flights from May 9 to May 14, 2025, due to operational reasons. Which includes Adhampur, Ambala, Amritsar, Awantipur, Bathinda, Bhuj, Bikaner, Chandigarh, Halwara, Hindon, Jaisalmer, Jammu, Jamnagar, Jodhpur, Kandla, Kangra (Gaggal), Keshod, Kishangarh, Kullu Manali (Bhuntar), Leh, Ludhiana, Mundra, Naliya, Pathankot, Patiala, Porbandar, Rajkot (Hirasar), Sarsawa, Shimla, Srinagar, Thoise, and Uttarlai.
All civil flight activities at these 32 airports will remain suspended from May 9 to May 14, 2025.
The Airports Authority of India has also temporarily closed 25 flight routes in the Delhi and Mumbai regions due to operational reasons. These routes will be unavailable until May 14, 2025.
Airlines have been advised to plan alternative routes to minimize disruptions. The temporary closure is being managed to ensure safety and reduce inconvenience.
