All eyes will be on the 2025 edition of the India Energy Week (IEW)—a high-octane annual event aimed at driving global energy innovation and collaboration for a sustainable future, scheduled to be held from February 11 to February 14 in the national capital. Spanning more than one lakh square metres with a keen focus on innovation, the central government has said that IEW is set to be the second largest energy event across the globe, in terms of participation, exhibition space and sessions.
The IEW 2025 event will be organised at the Yashobhoomi international convention and expo centre in Dwarka, New Delhi. The event is set to record unparalleled global participation from ministers, CEOs and industry leaders in the country’s crucial energy space.

Scope and Participation: The 2025 edition of the event is set to register remarkable growth in scale and participation, with a 65 per cent increase in the exhibition space to 28,000 square metres. Besides, a higher number of conference sessions, at 105, as well as global delegates, at more than 70,000, is expected to set a milestone for the event. More than 500 speakers including key international voices are scheduled to participate in the event, reflecting its growing global popularity and significance. More than 20 foreign energy ministers or their deputies are set to participate in the event, along with chiefs of several international organisations and 90 CEOs from Fortune 500 energy companies.
PM Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) Focus: The Narendra Modi government’s highly successful clean cooking fuel scheme, knownas the PM Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY), is set to take centre stage at the IEW 2025, with the event serving as a vital platform to strengthen collaborative efforts for accelerating the global adoption of clean cooking solutions. The government has said that its Clean Cooking Ministerial initiative will further amplify the country’s leadership role in ensuring access to sustainable and affordable energy solutions, reinforcing its global commitment to energy equity.
10 Country Pavilions: The conference is scheduled to host pavilions from 10 nations including the US, the UK, Russia, Japan, Germany, and the Netherlands. Additionally, eight thematic zones will be established at the event, focusing on areas such as hydrogen, renewables, biofuels and petrochemicals.
Student Participation: A number of steps aimed at engaging the youth and innovators are also set to be part of the 2025 edition of the event. Leading IITs, startup platforms like ‘Avinya’ and ‘Vasudha’, and 500 students from the Delhi National Capital Region NCR are set to participate in the event, showcasing state-of-the-art innovation and technology-driven solutions.
Compelling Themes: The government has said that a key highlight of the 2025 edition will be its focus on compelling themes including energy security, just and orderly transitions, collaboration, resilience, capacity building, and digital advancements.
