According to the weather office India Meteorological Department (IMD), there will be some changes in weather in different parts of the country in the next three days. IMD has forecasted heavy rainfall in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu, and Ladakh. This is due to a new western disturbance started from March 24. On the other side, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Yanam are likely to have hot and humid weather conditions.
Delhi weather update
According to the weather department, there will be clear skies today in the capital. The minimum temperature is expected to be 18 degrees Celsius, and the maximum to be 39 degrees Celsius on March 26. Considering the weather forecast for the next one week, today is likely to be the hottest day, with a maximum temperature rising to 39 degrees Celsius.
Heatwave and hot weather conditions in these states
Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Yanam are expected to have hot and humid weather conditions during 27-29 March. Some interior parts of Odisha may face heatwave conditions from March 29 to April 1.
Overall temperature in India
During the next couple of days, IMD predicted a rise in maximum temperature by 2-3 degrees Celsius over plains of Northwest India. In Central India, maximum temperature is expected to rise by 2-3 degrees Celsius. Gujarat may also witness fall in maximum temperature during next 2-3 days.
A yellow alert has been issued in Saurashtra, Kutch, and western Rajasthan due to rising temperatures.
Thunderstorm and lightning in HP, Jammu, Ladakh
Heavy rainfall, along with thunderstorms and lightning, is expected in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu, and Ladakh from March 25 to March 28.
