India has already started working on its first bullet train project between Mumbai and Ahmedabad. And the government is planning to curb the manufacturing costs by developing required techniques in India only. The initiative will lower the overall manufacturing costs of the project, allowing authorities to spread the bullet train network to various other states in lesser time.
Establishment of HRS Innovation Centre
Achal Khare, Managing Director of National High-Speed Rail Corridor Limited (NHSRCL), working on the bullet train project, said that HRS Innovation Center has been set up under the bullet train project. The move will reduce the bullet train project cost and dependence on foreign countries and will also get economic benefits for India.
High-speed technology will be developed in India
The main purpose of the formation of HRS Innovation Centre is to develop indigenous techniques using the research and technical talents present in the country and reduce dependence on foreign technology. While developing the technical requirements in the country, where the dependence on foreign countries will decrease, the new corridors will be able to be built at a reasonable cost. This will help in speeding up the high-speed network in the nation to a great extent.
There will be many technical institutes in the country
HRS Innovation Trust has a board in which there are five members of the country's IIT, Japan and Tokyo Technical Education Institute etc in Executive and Advisory Council. The work of these members is to review the projects and tell them what to do technically. According to the Managing Director of NHSRCL, the aim is to increase the research work on high speed in the country, making it better by adding these research works of the young talent in the country.
