The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is conducting search operations at multiple locations linked to the Lovely University Group, including educational institutions in Punjab and Haryana, as part of an ongoing investigation under the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA).
According to sources, the searches are being conducted at Lovely Professional University in Jalandhar, as well as at Tetr College of Business and the Master's Union School of Business in Gurugram.
A total of around 10 locations across Gurugram and Jalandhar are being covered in the operation. Officials said the premises linked to Ashok Mittal, a Member of Parliament from the Aam Aadmi Party and founder of the Lovely Professional University, are also being searched as part of the probe.
The ED’s investigation unit in Delhi is leading the कार्रवाई, focusing on alleged violations under FEMA. All the institutions being searched are understood to be part of the same group, commonly referred to as the Lovely University Group.
Officials have not yet disclosed specific details about the nature of the alleged violations. Further information is awaited as the searches are currently underway.
