The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted strong surface winds during the daytime in Delhi. The minimum temperature was 14.6 degrees Celsius, 4.2 notches below normal, and the maximum temperature is expected to settle around 36 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, the air quality in the capital was recorded as moderate, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) standing at 136 at 9 AM.
The weather office has forecasted rain in several parts of Rajasthan today, April 1. Light rain with thunder and lightning is expected in the Udaipur-Kota division on April 2. The Ajmer-Kota division may have rain on April 3.
Rain and snowfall are expected in Uttarakhand due to Western disturbance. The minimum temperature remains below normal.
For the past few days, Madhya Pradesh has had strong winds that have kept temperatures below 39 degrees Celsius in numerous areas. However, now that April has arrived and the winds have stopped, IMD predicted that the temperature will rise over 40 degrees Celsius.
In UP, the maximum temperature in many parts has crossed 40 degrees Celsius.
