<p>Delhi-NCR residents got some relief from scorching heat today, June 4, as a fresh Western Disturbance has arrived. Heavy rain and intense thunderstorms lashed several parts of the region. The weather office, India Meteorological Department (IMD), issued a yellow alert for two days.</p>
<p>Meanwhile, the southwest (summer) monsoon has arrived in Kerala, IMD said. </p>
<p>"Isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall (7-20cm) is very likely over Kerala &amp; Karnataka, and isolated heavy rainfall over Tamil Nadu, and during the next 7 days. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to continue over northeast India during the next 5-6 days, the weather department said in a post on X today.</p>
