The state has been seeing a rise in COVID-19 infections since April-end.
The Government of Goa has announced an extension of the lockdown by another one week. The curfew will be in effect till morning 7 AM of June 7, 2021.
Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said that orders regarding the lockdown will be issued by respective District Collectors.

The Chief Minister tweeted, "Government of Goa has decided to extend the curfew till 7 am of 7th June 2021. The orders regarding the same shall be issued by respective District Collectors."
This decision was taken after witnessing a surge in COVID-19 cases in Goa. The state has been seeing a rise in COVID-19 infections since April-end. The lockdown was expected to end on May 31.
