COVID-19: Mask violation fine doubled to Rs 1,000 in Nagpur

Nagpur District Collector Ravindra Thakre on Tuesday said a fine of Rs 1,000, up from the current Rs 500, will be levied on people violating the mandatory mask norm amid the coronavirus outbreak.

Nagpur District Collector Ravindra Thakre on Tuesday said a fine of Rs 1,000, up from the current Rs 500, will be levied on people violating the mandatory mask norm amid the coronavirus outbreak.

He said Rs 4.33 lakh had been collected as fines from 803 people for not wearing masks in public, while offences were registered against 17.
