Centre appoints Neelkanth Mishra as part-time Chairperson of UIDAI
Neelkanth Mishra is Chief Economist at Axis Bank and Head of Global Research at Axis Capital.
The central government on Monday appointed Neelkanth Mishra as part-time Chairperson of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). He is Chief Economist at Axis Bank and Head of Global Research at Axis Capital.
The government also named Nilesh Shah, Managing Director at Kotak Mahindra AMC, and Dr Mausam, a professor in the computer science department of IIT Delhi, as part-time members of the Aadhaar-issuing authority, according to an official notification.
The three appointments are for a period of three years or up to the age of 65 years old, whichever is earlier.
