CAT 2019 official notification released by IIM Kozhikode! Online registrations at iimcat.ac.in start August 7, with exam date being November 24

CAT 2019 Official Notification: Indian Institute of Management (IIM Kozhikode) has released a notification for the Common Admission Test 2019 (CAT 2019) on July 28. The examination date declared is on November 24 which will be divided into two sessions. The online application process for CAT 2019 will begin from August 7 to September 18, 2019. The examination will be conducted across 156 cities in the country. Candidates can download the admit card from October 23 to November 24, and the result declaration will be in the second week of January 2020.

The candidates can apply through its official website- iimcat.ac.in. Candidates who successfully clear the exam will be eligible for admission in management courses, including PGP, PGDM, PGPEM, EPGP, PGPBM, PGPEX, at various IIMs across the country.

The examination is divided into 3 sections; Section I: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Section II: Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning and Section III: Quantitative Ability

Exam pattern
The duration of the examination is set to 180 minutes and the candidates will be allotted sixty minutes for answering questions in each section and they will be restricted to switch from one section to another. The questions will be in three sections, A. Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, B. Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning, C. Quantitative Ability.

Eligibility criteria:
Candidates aspiring for Master's degree must possess a Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent.

The reserve category candidates SC, ST and PwD need to hold a minimum 45% marks in the Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university.

Reservation:
Around 15% of the seats are reserved for SC, 7.5% for the ST category candidates, 27% of the seats are reserved for OBC candidates and 10% seats for the EWS candidates.

Application fees:
General category candidates have to pay Rs 1900 as application fees, while the reserved category like SC, ST and PwD are expected to pay is Rs 950 as application fees.
