Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address the nation at 8 pm on Monday, May 12. Although it could not be ascertained immediately as to what the Prime Minister will focus on in his address, the development comes during a fragile ceasefire situation between India and Pakistan, after the Pakistani military's move to violate a clear understanding arrived at mere hours after both sides agreeing to cease fire on Saturday.
Meanwhile, the Indian and Pakistani DGMOs are set to connect on the same day to review the ceasefire established between the two sides on Pakistan's request on Saturday.
On May 10, the Pakistani DGMO contacted his Indian counterpart at around 3:35 pm IST to engage in discussions that led to the ceasefire.
Originally, the talks between the DGMOs were scheduled to start at 12 noon India time on Monday but were later postponed.
At the time of publishing this report, the talks are scheduled to take place around 5:30 pm IST, according to sources.

Operation Sindoor | Indian Armed Forces remain high alert; all eyes on DGMO talks
Under its ongoing Operation Sindoor, launched in response to the April 22 terror attack in J&K's Pahalgam, Indian forces intercepted and responded to the Pakistani military's drone and missile attacks targeting civilian as well as military locations in India.
India remains firm on its no-tolerance policy against terrorism. The secular nation's zero-tolerance policy against terrorism is unwavering, with the Narendra Modi government committed to taking effective action against terrorism on both sides of the border. The policy is also reflected in the Indian forces' precision, proportionate and responsible targeting of terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK).
