Bihar Elections 2025: In his first reaction to the NDA’s sweeping lead in the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to his official X handle to hail what he described as a “historic and unprecedented victory” for the alliance.
PM Modi said the mandate reflects the people’s strong endorsement of good governance and the NDA’s development-centric approach. He added that in the coming days, the alliance will intensify its efforts to accelerate Bihar’s growth, strengthen infrastructure and promote the state’s cultural identity.
“Victory of good governance has been achieved. 
Victory of development has been achieved. 
Victory of the spirit of public welfare has been achieved. 
Victory of social justice has been achieved,” the Prime Minister wrote.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah lauded party workers and described the NDA’s resounding win in Bihar as a clear endorsement of performance-driven politics.
“This is the victory of every Bihari who believes in a ‘Developed Bihar’. Regardless of attempts by those practicing jungle raj or appeasement politics, the public has chosen a mandate based solely on performance,” Shah said. He congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, and all NDA leaders and workers for their efforts.
Shah also praised the relentless work of NDA cadres, from booth-level volunteers to state-level organizers, crediting their dedication for the alliance’s strong showing.
“I assure the people of Bihar, especially our mothers and sisters, that the NDA government, under the leadership of Modi ji, will fulfill this mandate with even greater commitment and dedication,” he added.
As of 5:15 pm, the NDA has surged ahead with leads on 203 seats, while the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) led Mahagathbandhan is ahead in only 34 seats, indicating a landslide mandate in favour of the ruling alliance.
