Bihar Elections 2025: The second and final phase of Bihar Assembly elections witnessed strong voter enthusiasm with a historic 67.14 per cent turnout in all constituencies by 5 pm, as per the data of Election Commission of India (ECI).

Katihar was the top district with 77.73 per cent of the voters casting their ballots, closely followed by Kishanganj with 77.70 per cent, while Nawada had the least participation with 57.76 per cent.

Bihar Assembly Elections witnessed a very active participation from the voters, as per the data by the Election Commission of India (ECI) around 60.40 per cent of the electorate had already cast their votes by 3 pm.

Bihar experiencing heavy attendance of voters in a number of its districts. The highest percentage of participation was noted in Kishanganj, where it reached 66.10 per cent, whereas Nawada was the least active with a turnout of 53.17 per cent at 3:00 pm.

Bihar Elections Second Phase : 47.62 per cent voter turnout till 1:00 pm

Voting for the second phase of the Bihar Assembly elections with a voter turnout of 47.62 per cent across 122 constituencies till 1:00 pm, on Tuesday, according to data released by the Election Commission of India (ECI).

Polling is being held across 20 districts, with Kishanganj recorded 51.86 per cent voter turnout, while the lowest with 43.39 per cent in Madhubani.

Araria recorded voter turnout at 46.87 per cent, 47.11 per cent in Arwal, 49.45 per cent in Aurangabad, 50.07 per cent in Banka, 45.09 per cent Bhagalpur, 50.95 per cent in Gaya, 46.07 per cent in Jahanabad, 50.91 per cent in Jamui, 49.89 per cent in Kaimur (bhabhua), 48.50 per cent in Katihar, 43.45 in Nawada, 48.91 per cent in Paschim Champaran, 49.63 Purnia, 48.01 per cent in Purvi Champaran, 45.19 per cent in Rohtas, 48.23 per cent in Sheohar, 45.28 per cent Sitamarhi, 48.22 per cent in Supaul.

Strong voter turnout marks Bihar Assembly Election Phase 2

The second phase of the Bihar assembly elections 2025 got underway with voting today at 7 am in 122 constituencies spread over 20 districts in the state, which involves around 3.7 crore electors and 243 seats.

The first phase of the Bihar elections marked the highest polling percentage in the state's history. The state saw a record 65.08 per cent polling in the first phase of polling. Counting of votes will take place on November 14.

Bihar is witnessing strong voter turnout in the second phase, with the state achieving a remarkable 31.38 per cent turnout by 11 am according to the Election Commission of India data. Kishanganj had the highest turnout at 34.74 per cent, whereas Madhubani had the lowest with 28.66 per cent.

Bihar votes in Phase 2, rivals confident of win

Meanwhile, Rashtriya Janata Dal MP Manoj Jha expressed confidence in a Mahagathbandhan victory in the ongoing Bihar elections, saying that the change which was seen in the first phase of polling has turned into a "big wave", which will oust the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) from the State."The change that knocked on our doors in the first phase is now turning into a big wave of change... The Prime Minister, the Home Minister, the UP CM, and countless other ministers tried their best to change the pitch in Bihar so that no one could discuss jobs, migration, or social security. But Bihar hasn't gone away from its pitch," the RJD leader, ANI reported.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national spokesperson Syed Shahnawaz Hussain expressed confidence that the people will vote decisively in favour of development and ensure that the state continues on its growth trajectory.After casting his vote along with his wife Renu Hussain at a polling booth in Supaul, the BJP leader said, "I have voted. I appeal to everyone to cast their vote. Humne jalpan nahi kiya, pehle matdan kiya. We will go home now and then have breakfast.
