Chapra Election Result 2025: In the Chapra Assembly seat election, BJP candidate Chhoti Kumari has won, defeating RJD’s Khesari Lal Yadav (Shatrughan Yadav) by a margin of 7,600 votes. Chhoti Kumari secured 86,845 votes, while Khesari Lal Yadav received 79,245 votes. Independent candidate Rakhi Gupta trailed with 11,488 votes, and Jai Prakash Singh of the Jan Suraaj Party got 3,433 votes.
The Chapra constituency, part of Bihar’s Saran district, has been a BJP stronghold for two consecutive terms under former MLA Dr. C. N. Gupta, who had won the seat comfortably in 2015 and 2020. With this victory, BJP continues its dominance in Chapra, reinforcing its position in the region.

The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has scored a major victory in the Bihar Assembly elections, winning 202 out of 243 seats, according to the Election Commission. The opposition Mahagathbandhan could manage only 35 seats. Within the NDA, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal (United) won 85 seats, nearly doubling its count from 43 in 2020. The Bharatiya Janata Party emerged as the single largest party with 89 seats from the 101 constituencies it contested, while the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) secured 19 seats.
On the other hand, the Rashtriya Janata Dal won 25 seats, the Congress managed 6, and the Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) Liberation took 2 seats. With 122 seats needed to form a government in the 243-member Assembly, the NDA’s decisive win gives it a comfortable majority.
