<p>Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw recently tested the Swadeshi navigation app Mappls, developed by MapmyIndia, during a drive in his car and praised its advanced features, reported by ANI. Sharing his experience on social media, the minister said the app is an impressive example of India's growing capability to develop world-class digital and mapping technologies. Vaishnaw encouraged people to try the indigenous navigation platform, which he said performs on par with international products. "I met with the Mappls team today. They told me that all Indian car manufacturers have this pre-installed. Let's see how good it is," he said.</p>

<p>Explaining the app's features, the minister said what stood out for him was its three-dimensional junction view that provides realistic flyover and underpass visuals. "Wherever there is an overbridge or underpass, the app gives a 3D junction view," Vaishnaw said.</p>
<p>He added that the app's precision goes beyond outdoor navigation. "When we reach a building with multiple floors, the app can guide us to the exact shop or office," he said, highlighting how the platform is tailored to Indian urban settings. According to Vaishnaw, such innovations show India’s capability to build cutting-edge technology that is practical, accurate and completely indigenous.</p>
