Amul Milk Price Hike: For all the milk consumers across the country, there has been a significant update. Dairy product manufacturers like Amul and Mother Dairy announced a fresh hike in milk prices on Wednesday, May 13. The prices have been increased by Rs 2 per litre across India and will be effective from Thursday, May 14. The 500 ml pack has seen an increase of up to Rs 1.
The decision could have a direct impact on the monthly budget of millions of Indian families as the revised prices will be applicable on major variants of milk, including Gold, Taza (fresh), cow milk and buffalo milk.
According to the new prices of Amul, many popular variants have become expensive. The new prices will be as follows:

The company also stated that the procurement price paid to farmers has been increased to ensure better remuneration for milk producers.
After Amul, Mother Dairy has also announced a price hike of Rs 2 per litre across its milk variants. The new price will be effective from May 14, 2026. According to the company, the cost of procuring milk from farmers has increased by around 6 per cent in the past year, necessitating the price revision.
After the new rates, the price of Full Cream Milk in Delhi NCR will increase from Rs 70 to Rs 72 per litre, Toned Milk from Rs 58 to Rs 60 and Cow Milk from Rs 60 to Rs 62 per litre.
The company said it pays 75 to 80 per cent of its total milk sales directly to farmers, ensuring farmers' income and an uninterrupted supply of milk to consumers.
Amul last raised milk prices in May 2025. Almost a year later, the company has again raised prices. Mother Dairy milk prices were last revised in April 2025.
