As many as 8 coaches, including the power car and the engine of the train, got derailed. An accident relief train and an accident relief medical train has already left for the site from Lumding along with senior officials of division to supervise the rescue and restoration works.

Train No. 12520, Agartala–Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Express, which left Agartala Thursday morning (October 17, 2024) derailed at the Dibalong station under Lumding division in the Lumding, Bardarpur Hill section at about 3:55 pm.
As many as 8 coaches, including the power car and the engine of the train, got derailed.
However, no casualty or major injuries have been reported.
