ACC share price has skyrocketed by over Rs 65 to 1,395.10 in the intraday trade session, which is around 4.91 per cent higher from its yesterday's close. According to experts, this rise is because of the strong fundamentals and expected pick up in the business post-lockdown. They said that ACC reported lower numbers in EBIDTA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) and PAT (profit after tax) but the numbers are above the street estimates, which reflects well for the ACC stock. They said that ACC is a slow moving stock but it can move up to Rs 1,480 per stock levels in one month time.
Giving details about the fundamentals currently existing for the ACC shares, Keshav Lahoti, Associate Equity Analyst at Angel Broking said, "“ACC reported a 37 per cent YoY decline in standalone revenue to Rs 2,601 crore for Q2CY20. Company reported EBIDTA and PAT of Rs 525 crore and Rs 268 crore for the quarter, down by 34 per cent and 41 per cent YoY respectively. Revenue for the quarter was adversely impacted given that there was no production and sales for the cement industry during the first 20 days of April due to the lockdown. However, margins improved from 19.1 per cent to 20.2 per cent YoY due decline in power and fuel cost along with other expenses. Revenue for the quarter was below street estimates though EBIDTA and PAT were above street estimates. Going forward demand revival will be key for the Company.”
