7th Pay Commission IDAS: The Central government has decided to promote the Indian Defense Accounts Service (IDAS) officers on 23rd August 2019. In the government notification, the Principal Controller of Defense Accounts (PCDA) stationed at IDAS has been promoted from the immediate effect. Apart from that, the notification further makes it clear that PCDA would be considered promoted from the date he has been holding this position.
With this notification, the PCDA will receive a huge leap in their monthly salary. Now, in the new arrangement, they will get a basic monthly salary of Rs 182200-224100 instead of Rs 67000-79000 as recommended by the 7th Pay Commission. Due to this promotion given by the Centre, officers of the IDAS of the same position would get around Rs 20,000 more as their monthly salary.
Speaking on the development Harishankar Tiwari, General Secretary at All India Audit and Accounts Association said, "PCDA is chief of the IDAS office. After the latest central notification, now the PCDA has been upgraded from Senior Administrative Grade to Higher Administrative Grade. This promotion would be given to the officers of the IDAS of the same cadre who are not facing any kind of criminal or disciplinary charges."
Tiwari said that after this promotion, the PCDA or equivalent officers would not only get a revised basic monthly salary but their DA and HRA would also go upward.
Comptroller General of Defense Accounts has issued a notification in this regard on 23rd August 2019 and a copy of the notification has been sent to each PCDA offices. Zee Business has reported about the development after receiving a copy of the notification issued by the Comptroller General of Defense Accounts on 23rd August 2019.
With this notification, transfer of the IDAS officers would also kickstart so that they can take charges of their new position and office. Those officers going to take charge of their new office will be given TA by the concerned office as well.
