2.0 Box Office Collection: Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0 movie has just been released across over 10,000 screens and the makers have already minted Rs 370 crore as a part of the pre-release business. Not only that, according to reports, BookMyShow has already sold 1.2 mn tickets even before the movie was released. According to trade analyst Ramesh Bala, the tickets of the film are selling like hotcakes across India.
2.0, the first of its kind 3D movie has been shot in India. 2.0 collection is expected to create quite a buzz at the box office as critics have predicted it will likely to collect at least Rs 85 crore on its opening day itself and if all goes right, it may even hit the Rs 100 cr mark in India itself. With its high-end technological aspects and VFX in the film, 2.0 is nothing but a visual treat for the audience.
2.0 film was made on a budget of over Rs 500 crore and this amount will be a big challenge to earn back as well as make handsome profit. However, considering the kind of cult following Rajinikanth has and on top of that there is the massive fan following of Akshay Kumar, chances are that 2.0 will do better than all other movies before it and even Baahubali 2 lifetime record of over Rs 500 cr in earnings is under threat from this Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer. Following the footsteps of Baahubali and its sequal, 2.0 is also trying to dominate the box office of both North and South India.
2.0 movie has already earned in excess of Rs 100 cr in terms of advance booking reportedly and is set for much, much more after release.
