Indo-Pak, Operation Sindoor Details, India-Pakistan Latest News: Air Marshal AK Bharti, in a media briefing on Sunday, highlighted India’s military capabilities, asserting that India can target every system at Pakistan’s military bases. This statement came following Operation Sindoor, a precise military operation aimed at nine terror hubs in Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir, including locations in Muzaffarabad, Kotli, and Bahawalpur. Bharti emphasised that the Indian Air Force’s strikes were measured, targeting only military installations to minimise civilian casualties. “We have the capability to target every system at these bases and more. However, it was only a measured response to instil good wisdom in our adversary,” he stated.
The Indian Army mentioned the loss of five soldiers during the operation. In contrast, between May 7 and May 10, 35–40 Pakistan Army personnel were killed along the Line of Control. Moreover, about 100 terrorists, including those responsible for the Pulwama attack and the hijackers of IC-814, were eliminated during the strikes.
“I pay homage to the five brave personnel of our Armed Forces. Their sacrifice will always be remembered,” the Army said in a statement following the ceasefire agreement.

Lt General Rajiv Ghai, India's DGMO, revealed that the proposal to halt hostilities came directly from Pakistan on May 10. “My communication with the Pak DGMO was conducted at 15:35 hours yesterday (Saturday) and resulted in cessation of cross-border firing and air intrusions by either side with effect from 17:00 hrs, 10th of May, after he proposed that we cease hostilities,” Lt Gen Ghai stated.

On Saturday evening, on Pakistan's request, both sides agreed to cease fire with effect from 5 pm, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri announced in a brief statement. The big announcement came after days of the Indian Armed Forces' swift, proportionate and responsible action against Pakistan's repeated military escalations on Indian soil.
During the conflict, having its roots in an April 22 terror attack in J&K's Pahalgam that killed 26 people, India maintained its clear and firm stance that it will continue to counter and retaliate to any violation from Pakistan's side. India blames Pakistan for nurturing and executing cross-border terror attacks on Indian soil.
