Class 12 Board Exam 2021 Cancelled: After a lot of anticipation, the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 was cancelled on June 1, 2021, after Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a meeting in this issue. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) notified that the the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 students will be evaluated on the basis of an objective criteria which will be announced soon. After the CBSE cancelled the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021, several other boards and state boards also cancelled the Class 12 Board Exams 2021. Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE)

Soon after the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 was cancelled, the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) cancelled the ISC Class 12 Board Exam 2021. The CISCE has notified that the results will be processed on a mechanism that will also include the internal exams conducted by the schools. CISCE will also allow a student to sit for an exam if the student is not satisfied with the marks allotted. Source: IANS

On Wednesday, Gujarat Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama announced that the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) has decided to cancel the GSHSEB Class 12 Board Exam 2021. As per an india.com report, the Gujarat Education Minister said, "The state government decided to scrap the exams for class 12 of the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Board (GSHSB) after taking into consideration the Centre’s decision to cancel the exams for class 12 students of the CBSE given the coronavirus pandemic." In a video statement posted on Twitter, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said, "The class 12 board exams (organised by the MP Board of Secondary Education) for the year 2020-21 will not be held this year. The Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Council cancelled the UP Board Class 12 Board Exam 2021 on Thursday. The information was shared by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Twitter where he wrote, " Student's safety is our top priority in the view of Covid 19 pandemic. Taking inspiration from respected Prime Minister, Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Council exams of Class 10 and 12 will not be conducted for this academic year." Source: PTI

At a press conference on Wednesday, Rajasthan Education Minister Govind Singh Dotasra announced the cancellation of the RBSE Class 10 Class 12 Board Exams 2021. News agency ANI tweeted, "Rajasthan government cancels class 10th and class 12th state board exams. Officers of the education department will soon derive a formula for marks to be given to students of Class 10 and Class 12 of the state board. Amidst the prevailing COVID-19 situation, the Haryana government also decided to cancel the Class 12 Board Exam 2021. According to ANI, Haryana Education Minister Kanwar Pal declared, "The state government will follow the directions of the Central government in regarding the Class XII examination of Haryana School Education Board, Bhiwani and will conduct an internal assessment based on which the results will be declared soon."
