The call to cancel CBSE board exams 2021 is getting louder, as there are increasing demands from several quarters to order a mass cancellation. As per an Indian Express report, according to the sources, conducting the examinations on time seems “difficult”, given the increase in fresh infections. Though the government seems to be reconsidering the exam dates, the officers stated that it was too early to indicate any change in the CBSE board exam 2021 date sheet. Source: IANS
Maharashtra
On Monday afternoon, the Education Minister of the state, Varsha Gaikwad tweeted from her official twitter handle, "Imp. Announcement: Given the current Covid-19 situation in Maharashtra, we’ve postponed state board exams for class 10th and 12th. The present circumstances are not conducive for holding exams. Your health is our priority." The Maharashtra board exams were supposed to begin from April 23 and continue till May 21, 2021. Source: PTI
Madhya Pradesh
The Madhya Pradesh Board Exam (MPBE) has revised the date sheets for the class 10 class 12 board exams. In an interaction with The Times of India Madhya Pradesh school education minister Inder Singh Parmer stated that the MPBE board exam 2021 Class 10 class 12 will be conducted after May 30, 2021. The school education department will soon issue the fresh MPBE Class 10 class 12 board exam date sheet. Source: PTI
Chhattisgarh
The board exams for the class 10 candidates in Chhattisgarh were slated to commence from April 15, 2021. The Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) stated that the decision regarding the cancellation of the class 10 board exams 2021 have been undertaken because of the surge in the number of coronavirus cases. Uttar Pradesh
Last week, the Uttar Pradesh government has postponed the dates for the class 10 class 12 board exams. As per the new date sheets released by UP Board (UPMSP), the board exams for class 10 and 12 will now take place from May 8, 2021 to May 28, 2021. Earlier, the exams were scheduled to commence from April 24, 2021. The decision to reschedule the UP board class 10 class 12 exams have been taken because of the panchayat elections in the state.
