The Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal will travel officially to Israel on 20-22 November 2025, after being invited by the Israeli Minister of Economy and Industry Mr. Nir Barkat.

The visit is a clear indication of the two countries’ rapidly developing economic and strategic partnership receiving a strong boost making it more attractive.

The trip highlights the cooperation between India and Israel that is slowly but surely developing and is seen in different areas like trade, technology, innovation, defense, agriculture, and investment.

The two nations are likely to seek out new ways to enhance their partnership and create lasting economic ties in the sectors they prioritise.

High-level meetings with Israeli leadership

During his three-day trip, Shri Goyal will hold a series of high-level bilateral meetings with senior Israeli leaders. Apart from meeting his Israeli counterpart Nir Barkat, Shri Goyal is also expected to interact with other key ministers to discuss ongoing and future collaborations.

A key highlight of the agenda will be a review of the progress on the India–Israel Free Trade Agreement (FTA), which has been a long-standing priority for both countries.

A strong 60-member business delegation, facilitated by CII, FICCI, Assocham, and Start-up India, will accompany the Minister.

The delegation represents India’s growing interest in enhancing trade and technology partnerships with Israeli companies, start-ups, and investors.

India–Israel business forum to drive new partnerships

Goyal will participate in the India–Israel Business Forum, which will bring together leading industry associations and top business leaders from both nations.

The forum will feature:

  • Opening and closing plenary sessions
  • Sector-specific technical discussions
  • Structured B2B meetings aimed at boosting commercial partnerships
  • Discussion on potential joint ventures in the key sectors
  • The debates are likely to generate routes for increased market access, investments, and business collaborations.
  • Fourth CEOs forum to bring together industry leaders

The visit will also see the fourth edition of the high-profile CEOs Forum, where the most influential CEOs of India and Israel will be present.

The forum is expected to highlight emerging opportunities in innovation, advanced manufacturing, defence technologies, water solutions, cyber security, agriculture, and mobility.

Meetings with major Israeli companies and investors

Shri Goyal is slated to meet senior leaders from leading Israeli companies specializing in:

  • Agriculture and Agri-tech
  • Desalination and wastewater treatment
  • Cyber security
  • Smart mobility
  • Infrastructure
  • Advanced technologies

He will also interact with prominent Israeli investors to explore new investment opportunities in India’s growing innovation economy.

Visits to innovation hubs & key institutions

As part of the itinerary, the Minister will visit Israel’s major innovation hubs and research institutions, gaining insights into the country’s advanced tech ecosystem.

These interactions are expected to lay the groundwork for deeper collaboration in R&D, start-up exchange programs, and joint innovation platforms.

Cultural engagements & interaction with Indian community

Alongside official engagements, Shri Goyal will interact with members of the Indian diaspora, business leaders of Indian origin, and cultural representatives in Israel.

These engagements aim to strengthen people-to-people ties and celebrate the contributions of the Indian community to Israel’s socio-economic landscape.
