The Pink Saheli National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) was launched on March 2, 2026, for women commuters in DTC (Delhi Transport Corporation) buses. With over 10 lakh Pink Saheli NCMC issued within 90 days of launch, DTC has achieved a significant milestone. This is one of the fastest large-scale digital mobility rollouts in India.

"The Pink Saheli Card offers multiple benefits beyond free bus travel. Based on the National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) framework, the card can be recharged and used across Delhi Metro, RRTS, and other NCMC-enabled systems, creating a truly integrated mobility experience for women commuters," said Delhi Transport Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh in a press note on Monday, June 1.

The Minister stated that around 73 distribution centres across Delhi are currently issuing the cards, with nearly 11,000 cards being issued daily. He added that the Government is prepared to expand outreach and capacity further if demand increases.

What is Pink Saheli Smart Card?

The Pink Saheli Smart Card is a digital card to commute in DTC buses for women commuters. With this, they don't need to obtain paper-based pink tickets from the bus conductor on every ride. The old paper tickets will be discontinued by the government from July, 2026. This means that people will not be able to travel in DTC buses without this card.

How does this card work?

You just need to tap the card while boarding the bus, and your journey will automatically be registered.

Who can get a Pink Saheli Smart Card?

All women commuters and transgender citizens who live in Delhi can get this card. A person's age should be over 12 to get a Pink Saheli Smart Card.

Documents required to obtain Pink Saheli Smart Card:
- Aadhaar card with a Delhi address
- Active mobile number
- Two passport-sized photographs

Where to get Pink Saheli Smart Card

The government is organising special camps to get this card. This will help commuters save time from having to stand in long queues at SDM offices or DTC depots. These camps are set to begin in collaboration with Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs).
