Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal on Tuesday introduced the Trade Intelligence & Analytics (TIA) portal, a dedicated platform aimed at making trade data easier to understand and more accessible for businesses of all sizes. The platform brings global and bilateral datasets under one roof, helping businesses navigate FTAs and identify new opportunities, according to an official statement.

Speaking at the launch in the national capital, the trade minister said the new system reflects a growing need for clarity in a fast-moving global trade environment. He also said that for years, detailed datasets were available largely to well-resourced companies, leaving smaller firms to rely on scattered or outdated information.

With the portal, Goyal said, even entrepreneurs working out of remote towns will be able to study markets, compare trends and make decisions with more confidence. A better use of Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), steady visibility into tariff conditions and improved insight into the services sector could help Indian exporters widen their reach.
