State-run oil marketing company (OMC) Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) has issued an advisory for its LPG customerrs. Indian Oil -- which supplies LPG under its brand Indane -- has suggested that registered consumers book LPG cylinders after 6 pm to receive the best experience. Urging Indane customers not to panic, the PSU said that the best time to book is post-6 pm. 
IOC's booking platforms, including its IVR system, are facing 8-10 times the normal traffic, with customers flocking to book LPG refills in panic. 
Repeated booking attempts are overloading the system, noted the firm. 
The development comes at a time when the government has urged people not to panic-book on the basis of rumours of gas shortage. The Centre has already ordered refiners to ramp up domestic LPG production, which has led to a 28 per cent rise in the output over the past few days. This week, officials said that there were no mismatch between supply and demand in the country due to Middle East disruptions, with enhanced domestic production and diversified imports already balancing the country's position in terms of petroleum stocks.

<h2>Guidelines for Indane customers</h2>
E-KYC mandatory: Customers must complete electronic -- or eKYC -- verification to continue receiving LPG cylinders. This process confirms the identity and details of the consumer in the distributor’s records. Without completing KYC, distributors may not process refill requests or deliver cylinders.
Keep registered mobile ready
Customers should keep their registered mobile number accessible while booking a refill or receiving a delivery. The number is used for authentication, booking confirmation messages and delivery-related communication. 
WhatsApp booking available 
Customers can conveniently book an LPG refill using messaging service WhatsApp. To use this service, customers can save the number 7588888224 in their phone contacts and send the message “REFILL” to this contact through WhatsApp, and follow instructions.

LPG cylinders are delivered only after a refill request is officially registered in the system. Customers must therefore place a booking in advance through authorised channels such as IVRS, mobile apps or WhatsApp. 
25-day refill rule 
Customers cannot place a new refill request within 25 days of their previous cylinder delivery. The rule is designed to regulate supply and discourage unnecessary or panic bookings. 
DAC mandatory 
A Delivery Authentication Code (DAC) is required to complete the LPG cylinder delivery process.

Requesting customers to avoid repeated booking attempts and to cooperate with distributors, Indian Oil said that bookings made during non-business hours of 10 pm-6 am will be processed after 6 am.
