LPG, LPG Rate, LPG Cylinder Price (March 2026): Commercial LPG rates were hiked with effect from March 1, marking a third straight monthly increase in the prices. In some respite for the public, domestic LPG rates were left unchanged. The latest revision marks an upward revision of Rs 28 per 19 kg cylinder in the price of commercial LPG. This is on top of the Rs 49 hike announced last month.
Cumulatively, the price of a 19 kg LPG cylinder in the national capital has been increased by Rs 188 since January 1, data shows.
The price of commercial cooking gas now stands at Rs 1,768.5 per cylinder (19 kg) in New Delhi, Rs 1,875.5 in Kolkata, Rs 1,720.5 in Mumbai and Rs 1,929 in Chennai.
Currently, state-run oil marketing companies Indian Oil Corp Ltd (IOCL), Bharat Petroleum Corp Ltd (BPCL) and Hindustan Petroleum Corp Ltd (HPCL) review the retail prices of LPG refills every month, announcing any revisions at the start of each month to align them with the global benchmarks and forex rates.

The prices of domestic-use LPG refills have remained at the current levels since August 1, according to information available on the IOCL website.
According to IOCL, which supplies LPG under the Indane brand, the 19 kg Indane LPG cylinders are suitable for use in hotels, restaurants, cafes, canteens and for industrial applications. With a flow rate ranging between 0.5 kg/hr and 0.6 kg/hr, these cylinders are used in the multiple cylinder manifolds, while 47.5 kg LPG cylinders, with a flow rate ranging from 5 to 6 kg/hr with a 47.5 kg liquid off take (LOT) cylinder, are provided to commercial kitchens, like hotels, hospitals, restaurants and other industrial customers, according to its website.
The three companies, IOCL, BPCL and HPCL, also offer a range of online services to enable their customers to perform a range of tasks with convenience.
These services enable them to check the latest prices and book cylinder refills.

These facilities include mobile apps as well as WhatsApp- and SME-enabled services.
