LPG Price Per Cylinder: From June 1, commercial cooking gas becomes cheaper; check out 19-kg, 14.2-kg refill rates in New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai

LPG Price Per Cylinder, City-Wise Cooking Gas Rate List: PSU oil marketing companies Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) Ltd, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) revised the retail price of 19-kilogram LPG refills--meant for commercial use--lower with effect from June 1 while leaving the rate of 14.2-kilogram cylinders--meant for domestic use--unchanged. Commercial LPG rates in the four metros, New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata, were reduced by Rs 69.5-72 per cylinder.

Commercial LPG rate per cylinder

After the revision, the retail price of 19-kg LPG stood at Rs 1,676 per unit in New Delhi, Rs 1,787 per unit in Kolkata, Rs 1,629 per unit in Mumbai, and Rs 1,840.5 per unit in Chennai, lower than the existing Rs 1,745.5, Rs 1,859, Rs 1,698.5, and Rs 1,911 per unit, respectively, according to the Indian Oil website, iocl.com.

Non-subsidised domestic LPG rate per cylinder

The retail price of 14.2-kg LPG units remained unchanged at Rs 803 in New Delhi, Rs 829 in Kolkata, Rs 802.5 per unit in Mumbai, and Rs 818.5 per unit in Chennai.

The government subsidises LPG refills per household every year, after which, the consumer has to purchase cooking gas refills for domestic use at non-subsidised rates.
