The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) and the Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce (ICCC) reached a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to boost commercial ties between India and Canada. The agreement was signed during the India–Canada Business Roundtable held in New Delhi.
The MoU establishes a framework that both organisations will use to enhance trade and investment ties between their member states. Through this partnership, ASSOCHAM and ICCC will assist businesses from both countries in discovering new paths to trade and investment, according to an official release.
The MoU will establish an information exchange system that both organisations will use to share trade policy, economic regulation and investment opportunity information between India and Canada. The organisation will support business development through joint ventures, which enable companies to work together on production projects.
