On Monday, IndiGo airline issued a travel advisory warning of possible flight disruptions due to low visibility and dense fog in the national capital.

IndiGo posted this information on X, giving the passengers a heads-up regarding the bad weather and how it might disrupt their operations.

The travel advisory said, "IndiGo Flights...The defogging and low visibility over #Delhi will not only delay but also alter flight schedules and all we can do is keep on monitoring the weather situation closely and to assure you the safest and the smoothest journey."

The airline mentioned in its advisory, "Please stay updated on your flight status via our website or app. Rest assured that our teams are here to help you at every stage and provide support... The sooner the skies clear, the sooner we can serve you better, and thank you for your patience and understanding during this difficult time."

Low visibility disrupts operations at Delhi Airport

Delhi’s visibility was at its lowest on Monday morning when the city was covered in a thick layer of smog and fog which lessened visibility and disrupted air traffic at Indira Gandhi International Airport. The poor weather affected flight schedules in the early morning hours leading to concerns about delays and rescheduling mainly.

IndiGo maintains operational stability

In the meantime, IndiGo, the biggest airline in India, has got its act together again after a disorganized time, and today it has around 2,050 flights with negligible cancellations.

The carrier has enjoyed operational stability for five days straight, as it has brought all 138 destinations together, said IndiGo in a press release, as reported by ANI.

"All our operational destinations, 138 in total, are interconnected and our on-time performance has been constant at the IndiGo standard level," the release from IndiGo stated.

"According to the operational update we shared yesterday, we did more than 2,050 flights with only two cancellations, which were caused by technical problems; however, all affected customers were re-accommodated to other flights instantly," the press release read.
