IndiGo on Thursday announced that it has launched a new airport transfer service called ‘Cabs with IndiGo’, aimed at providing passengers with reliable and hassle-free transportation to and from airports across the country. The service is now available through the airline’s website and mobile application.
"Cabs with IndiGo– a dedicated airport transfer service designed to ensure reliable, on-time, and stress-free connectivity to and from airports across all Indian cities," IndiGo said in its official release while announcing the launch.
The Indian airline said the initiative is part of its broader strategy to create a seamless end-to-end travel experience for customers beyond air travel. The service has been integrated with IndiGo BluChip, the airline’s loyalty programme, allowing members to earn 5 IndiGo BluChips for every Rs 100 spent on cab bookings.
According to IndiGo, the airport transfer service has been designed to address common challenges faced by air travellers, including uncertain cab availability, surge pricing and last-minute ride cancellations.
"Built exclusively to address the most common pain points of air travellers such as uncertain availability, surge pricing, and last-minute cancellations, the service prioritises punctuality, reliability, and customer convenience," IndiGo said in a release.
The service offers several features, including the ability to reserve cabs for Rs 49, pre-booked cabs with transparent pricing and no surge fares, free cancellation until pick-up time, and up to 30 minutes of complimentary waiting time.
According to IndiGo, "This service ensures guaranteed cabs for departures and dependable rides upon arrival, ensuring a smooth and convenient experience throughout the journey."
IndiGo said the service is available in all Indian cities served by airports and is intended to provide dependable transportation both for airport departures and arrivals.
The launch expands IndiGo’s travel ecosystem, which already includes hotel bookings from a network of over 700,000 accommodation options and curated sightseeing experiences.
Neetan Chopra, Chief Digital and Information Officer, IndiGo, said, “At IndiGo, our focus extends beyond operating flights—we are committed to building a seamless, end-to-end travel ecosystem that our customers can rely on. The introduction of Cabs with IndiGo strengthens this vision by ensuring that every stage of the journey, from home to the airport and onward to the final destination, is smooth, dependable, and stress-free. As we continue to enhance our suite of travel solutions, this service reinforces our promise of offering meaningful, hassle-free, and consistent mobility to our customers.”
With the addition of airport transfers, IndiGo seeks to further strengthen its portfolio of travel-related services while offering customers a more integrated travel experience.
"Cabs with IndiGo is now available for booking through the IndiGo website and mobile app, offering customers a unified travel experience like never before," the release concluded.
IndiGo shares were trading at Rs 5,011.10 apiece at around 3:20 pm on Thursday, up 2.72 per cent from the previous close. The stock has gained 11.32 per cent over the past one week, reflecting strong recent momentum. However, on a year-to-date (YTD) basis, the stock remains down 1.91 per cent.
