<p>Passengers affected by these cancellations are advised to visit IndiGo’s official website to explore alternative travel options, including rescheduling on future flights or opting for a full refund.</p>
<p>Also, IndiGo noted that flights scheduled to operate on January 26, 2026, to and from Tbilisi, Almaty, Baku and Tashkent may stop at Doha for a refuelling break. </p>

<p>Ilahi also said there is a need to differentiate between the actual situation on the ground and what he described as exaggerated or misleading portrayals on social media and by some international organisations. While he acknowledged that Iran is facing economic hardship and public dissatisfaction, he claimed that the overall situation is under control.</p>

<p>Nationwide protests that began in late December, initially triggered by rising prices, a weakening currency and cost-of-living issues, furthered worsened the situation. </p>
<p>Iranian state television recently released its first official death toll, stating that 3,117 people were killed during the unrest. According to the government-linked Martyrs Foundation, most of those killed were civilians and security personnel.</p>
<p>However, international rights groups have reported higher figures. The US-based Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA) claimed that 4,519 people were killed, including protesters, security forces, minors and bystanders. HRANA also said thousands of additional deaths were still under review.</p>
<p>The government’s response to the protests drew global criticism, with several countries condemning the crackdown.</p>
