The flight operations at Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) continue to be disrupted due to a technical glitch in the Automatic Message Switching System (AMSS), which supports Air Traffic Control data since morning on Friday, November 7. Delhi Airport has issued a revised advisory at 7 PM today.
"Flight operations at Delhi Airport have been disrupted due to an ongoing technical issue with the Automatic Message Switching System (AMSS) that supports the Air Traffic Control flight planning process. All airline operations at Delhi Airport are currently impacted. Concerned authorities are working on resolving the issue at the earliest," the advisory said, posted on X.

IGIA stated that the matter is being addressed as a priority, with close coordination among ATC, DIAL, and other stakeholders, following delays to at least 400 flights.
In a post on X, Delhi Airport earlier shared, "We regret the disruption being experienced at IGIA due to a technical issue at ATC that is affecting flight operations. This matter is being addressed on priority with close coordination among ATC, DIAL, and other stakeholders."

Air traffic control (ATC) refers to a ground-based service in which controllers manage and guide the movement of aircraft both on the ground and within controlled airspace.
Earlier, the Airports Authority of India (AAI) said that technical teams are working to restore the Automatic Message Switching System (AMSS), which supports ATC data.
