<p>Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport on Wednesday issued a passenger advisory stating that the airport is open for all types of business and flights are operating according to the schedule.</p>
<p>Through this advisory, the airport gave the information that at all terminals, the arrivals and departures are taking place as per the schedule.</p>
<p>The update is a part of regular advisories intended to keep the passengers updated regarding the airport operations in the backdrop of IndiGo's flight cancellations and the consequent disruptions.</p>

<p>The airport authorities in the advisory at 12:49 pm informed that the passengers could carry on with their travelling plans in confidence. The authorities also stated that there are mobile teams throughout the airport 24/7 to provide assistance to travellers whenever necessary.</p>

<h2><strong>Delhi High Court orders compensation measures</strong></h2>
<p>On the other hand, the Delhi High Court, while hearing the matter before a Bench comprising Justice DK Upadhyay and Justice Tushar Rao Gedela, has instructed IndiGo and the Central government to make sure that compensation to the stranded passengers is initiated and that all DGCA regulations regarding assistance and refunds are strictly followed.</p>
<p>The Court also expressed serious concern regarding the sudden rise in airfares during the ongoing crisis situation and thus emphasised the need for transparency and accountability. It also wanted detailed information regarding the monitoring and oversight mechanisms currently in place to prevent such spikes in fares.</p>
<h2><strong>DGCA and duty-time regulations</strong></h2>
<p>The DGCA, through its attorney, remarked that the issue of duty-time regulations had been contended for years, and various rounds of the airlines’ meetings had taken place to inform them about the consultations.</p>
<p>The smaller companies were back in the Court, saying they had already observed the regulations, while the two biggest ones, IndiGo and Air India, were asking for more time. The three-judge panel pointed out that the rest rules for pilots were being applied step by step and that the last step, which was supposed to be done by November 2024, had not been carried through yet.</p>
<p>Before taking their leave, the judges ordered the inquiry report to be submitted in a sealed cover if the committee finishes its tasks before the next court date. The next court date for the case is January 22, 2026.</p>
