Air India temporarily cancels some flights until July 15

On Sunday (June 22), Air India announced temporary changes to its flight schedule that will affect several of its domestic and international services.
The airline has said it will suspend three routes and reduce the number of flights on 19 routes, and the changes are effective until at least July 15, 2025.
The airline also stated that this step is meant to improve overall operations and avoid last-minute cancellations that can inconvenience passengers.
Here are details of affected flights:
3 routes temporarily suspended
Air India will stop flying on the following three routes until the aforesaid date:
- Bengaluru–Singapore (AI2392/2393) – Daily flights suspended
- Pune–Singapore (AI2111/2110)—Daily flights suspended
- Mumbai–Bagdogra AI551/552)—Dailyy flights suspended
Routes with reduced flight frequency
On several other routes, the airline company will reduce the number of flights each week. Most of these reductions are minor, for example, some routes are seeing just one or two fewer flights per week, while others are seeing more noticeable cuts, such as a drop from 14 to 7 weekly flights.
Here is a list of affected routes:
- Bengaluru–Chandigarh: 14 to 7 flights per week
- Delhi–Bengaluru: 116 to 113 flights per week
- Delhi–Mumbai: 176 to 165 flights per week
- Delhi–Kolkata: 70 to 63 flights per week
- Delhi–Coimbatore: 13 to 12 flights per week
- Delhi–Goa (Dabolim): 14 to 7 flights per week
- Delhi–Goa (Mopa): 14 to 7 flights per week
- Delhi–Hyderabad: 84 to 76 flights per week
- Delhi–Indore: 21 to 14 flights per week
- Delhi–Lucknow: 28 to 21 flights per week
- Delhi–Pune: 59 to 54 flights per week
- Mumbai–Ahmedabad: 41 to 37 flights per week
- Mumbai–Bengaluru: 91 to 84 flights per week
- Mumbai–Kolkata: 42 to 30 flights per week
- Mumbai–Coimbatore: 21 to 16 flights per week
- Mumbai–Kochi: 40 to 34 flights per week
- Mumbai–Goa (Dabolim): 34 to 29 flights per week
- Mumbai–Hyderabad: 63 to 59 flights per week
- Mumbai–Varanasi: 12 to 7 flights per week
The airline apologised to affected passengers and is actively reaching out to offer alternative flights, free rescheduling, or full refunds.
