Vodafone Idea Q2 FY25 Results: Vodafone Idea, a private sector telecom service provider, on Wednesday reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 7,175.9 crore for the quarter ended September 30, worse than analysts' expectations and higher than a net loss of Rs 6,432.1 crore for the previous three months. The telecom company registered revenue of Rs 10,932.2 crore for the second quarter of the current financial year, up 4.0 per cent sequentially, according to a regulatory filing. Zee Business analysts had estimated Vodafone Idea's September-quarter net loss at Rs 6,850 crore and revenue at Rs 11,100 crore.
Vodafone Idea logged quarterly earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) of Rs 4,549.8 crore for the fiscal second quarter, higher than Rs 4,204.7 crore for the previous three months.
Its EBITDA margin came in at 41.6 per cent for the quarter ended September 30, as against 40 per cent for the previous three months.
Vodafone Idea said its debt from banks and financial institutions reduced by Rs 4,580 crore to Rs 3,250 crore in the last one year.
Its payment obligations owed to the government stood at Rs 2,12,260 crore, as of September 30. That included deferred spectrum payment obligations to the tune of Rs 1,41,940 crore and adjusted gross revenue-related liabilities of Rs 70,320 crore.
Earlier on Wednesday, Vodafone Idea shares ended lower by 30 paise at Rs 7.37 apiece on BSE.
