Titan Q3 FY25 Results: Tata group lifestyle products maker Titan—whose popular brands include Titan, Fastrack, Sonata, Titan Raga, Tanishq, Zoya and CaratLane—on Tuesday reported a 5.0 per cent decline in its standalone net profit for the quarter ended December 31, falling short of analysts' expectations. According to analysts, customs duty changes on gold impacted Titan's proftiablity with a significant dent in its gross margin causing operational pressure.
Titan's quarterly revenue, however, increased 23.3 per cent on a year-on-year basis to Rs 16,097 crore, according to a regulatory filing.
Titan missed the mark in terms of analysts' expectations.
According to Zee Business research, Titan was estimated to register a net profit of Rs 1,040 crore with revenue of Rs 16,528 crore for the third quarter of the current financial year.
Titan's third-quarter earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) stood at Rs 1,510 crore, an increase of 4.0 per cent over the year-ago period.
Its margin contracted to 9.4 per cent from 11.2 per cent a year ago, according to the filing.
Zee Business analysts had pegged Titan's Q3 EBITDA at Rs 1,630 crore and margin at 9.9 per cent.
Earlier on Tuesday, Titan shares gained half a per cent to close at Rs 3,599.2 apiece on BSE.
Titan shares have risen 1.0 per cent in the last one year, underperforming a 9.0 per cent gain in the headline Nifty 50 index.
