Tata Motors passenger vehicle arm swings to loss as revenue drops 26 per cent year-on-year in December quarter.

Tata Motors PV Q3FY26 Results: Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles posted a sharp reversal in earnings for the December quarter, slipping into a consolidated net loss as a one-time exceptional charge weighed heavily on performance.

The company reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 3,486 crore in Q3 FY26, compared with a net profit of Rs 5,406 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. The weak performance was largely driven by an exceptional cost of Rs 1,597 crore booked during the quarter.

Revenue from operations also declined sharply. Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles reported revenue of Rs 70,108 crore for the December quarter, down 26 per cent year-on-year, reflecting softer volumes and pricing pressures in a competitive domestic auto market.
